So here is one that works!

Luckily I still got the G35 to bounce about in until I get a hauler car again.

More like get it out of my parking lot... it’s not worth the swap. But it put its work in I have to give it that. It hauled like 300 pounds of firewood in the back plus people like a baaawwwss. The front suspension is shot, too .... the body panels are good though!

To be honest, I am not familiar with how to do that. Normally I just try and sell things off.

My S60 is getting its transmission fluid changed today. I’m hoping that puts off rather than accelerates its transmission failure (it makes “garage shift” clunks in warm weather , which apparently means the valve body solenoids are going, but it’s shifting happily otherwise).

It was mildly clunky leaving from stop lights or dead stops... then 2nd and 3rd started getting wonky and I said to myself “let’s get a fluid change” and then it went into full “Meh, I am just not gonna shift into any gears anymore” According to a lot of Volvo forums doesn’t matter if you do a fluid change...Once it slips it dips.

Well, we’ll see. I’m also apparently getting a new motor mount, but that’s actually good news I think since it means the vibration I have in reverse isn’t the transmission’s fault (assuming the mechanic has the source correct).

Like a small dddddddddd vibration? My 850 T5 did that. Sold it before I could fix it.

Just feels like sort of a rough idle when in reverse. In any event they say the front mount has gone bad, and I’m happy to let them replace it because that one is the by far the most difficult of the three to deal with, at least from what I could tell. Wondering if I should do the other two pree mptively, but I suspect I’ll be lazy at least until it gets warm again.

I can’t stand doing car work in the cold. It wasn’t even that cold today when I was doing my oil change on the G and rolling around in leaves and being grimy in 45 degree weather isn’t fun... I need a garage. Thank God I don’t live in Wisconsin anymore, lol.
